Assignment Questions

After creating the assignment, it’s time to add the questions. LMS offers several question types to use according to your subject and grade.

The system allows the addition of multiple types of questions, which can be used according to measurement standards.

1- Choose the type of question to add.

To Add a Question: #

1. Choose the type of question and fill in the questions sections.

2. See the whole assignment as a final preview, and you can see it along with correct answers and standards or without. 

After selecting one of the vocabulary types, you will start filling in the fields as follows:

  • Specify the difficulty level of the vocabulary item.
  • Carefully select the correct answer (required), as the item will be graded based on your selected answer.
  • Click Attach a file with the vocabulary item to upload a file that students can download.
  • Configure the vocabulary item according to a specific domain and standards.
  • Click Save to save the vocabulary item.

Add a new True/False item:

  • Specify the difficulty level.
  • Link the item to the learning outcomes by first selecting the lesson from the course tree, then choosing the learning outcomes associated with that lesson.
  • Select the cognitive levels / assessment objectives.
  • Enter the item text in the text editor (required field).
  • Specify the item score (required field).
  • Select the correct answer (True or False) (required field).
  • Click Attach a file with the item to upload a file that students can download.
  • Click Add Item to add the item to the list of items.

Add a Multiple-Choice Item

  • Specify the difficulty level.
  • Link the item to the learning outcomes by first selecting the lesson from the course tree, then choosing the learning outcomes associated with the lesson.
  • Select the cognitive levels / assessment objectives.
  • Enter the item text in the text editor (required field).
  • Specify the item score (required field).
  • Specify the number of choices; the text editor will appear based on the number selected.
  • Enter the choices in the text editor.
  • Select the correct answer (required field).
  • Click Attach a file with the item to upload a file that students can download.
  • Click Add Item to add the item to the list of items.

Add an Essay Item #

Question Content:

  • Enter the item text in the text editor.
  • Enter the correct answer.

Item Settings:

  • Select the lesson from the course tree.
  • Specify the cognitive levels.
  • Select the difficulty level.
  • Specify the learning outcomes.

Grading Settings:

  • Specify the item score.
  • Choose whole number grading or decimal grading.
  • Click Attach a file with the item to upload a file that students can download.
  • Click Add Item to add the item to the list of items.

Add a Matching (Two Columns) Item #

  • Specify the difficulty level.
  • Link the item to the learning outcomes by selecting the lesson first, then the associated learning outcomes.
  • Select the cognitive levels / assessment objectives.
  • Enter the item text in the text editor (required field).
  • Enter the choices and answers in the designated columns.
  • Specify the item score (required field).
  • Click Attach a file with the item to upload a file that students can download.
  • Click Add Item to add the item to the list of items.

Add a Click-on-Image Item #

  • Specify the difficulty level.
  • Link the item to the learning outcomes by selecting the lesson first, then the associated learning outcomes.
  • Select the cognitive levels / assessment objectives.
  • Enter the item text in the text editor (required field).
  • Specify the item score (required field).
  • Select the file to upload the image (maximum allowed display size is 800 pixels).
  • Click Add Item to add the item to the list of items.

Add a Fill-in-the-Blanks Item #

  • Specify the difficulty level.
  • Link the item to the learning outcomes by selecting the lesson first, then the associated learning outcomes.
  • Select the cognitive levels / assessment objectives.
  • Enter the item text in the text editor (required field).
  • Specify the number of blanks; answer fields will appear based on the selected number.
  • Specify the item score (required field).
  • Click Add Item to add the item to the list of items.

Add a Multiple-Response Item #

  • Specify the difficulty level.
  • Link the item to the learning outcomes by selecting the lesson first, then the associated learning outcomes.
  • Select the cognitive levels / assessment objectives.
  • Enter the item text in the text editor (required field).
  • Specify the item score (required field).
  • Specify the number of choices; text editor fields will appear based on the selected number.
  • Specify the number of correct responses.
  • Click Attach a file with the item to upload a file that students can download.
  • Click Add Item to add the item to the list of items.

Add a Content Item #

  • Specify the difficulty level.
  • Link the item to the learning outcomes by selecting the lesson first, then the associated learning outcomes.
  • Select the cognitive levels / assessment objectives.
  • Enter the item title (required field).
  • Select the repository type (paragraph, video, audio clip), then enter the text or upload the file based on the selected type.
  • Click Next.
  • The next window will appear to add content items by clicking the (+) icon next to each item type. From the Actions column, items can be viewed or deleted.
  • Click Add Item to add the items to the list of items.

Add an Attachment Item #

  • Specify the difficulty level.
  • Link the item to the learning outcomes by selecting the lesson first, then the associated learning outcomes.
  • Select the cognitive levels / assessment objectives.
  • Enter the item text in the text editor (required field).
  • Specify the item score (required field).
  • Choose whole number grading or decimal grading.
  • Specify the allowed answer file extensions (Excel, PDF, MP3, MP4, Image, MOV, Word).
  • Click Add Item to add the item to the list of items.

Add an Association Item #

Click Add Item to add the item to the list of items

Specify the difficulty level.

Link the item to the learning outcomes by selecting the lesson first, then the associated learning outcomes.

Select the cognitive levels / assessment objectives.

Enter the item text in the text editor (required field).

Please add the answers; you can add text or upload an image (up to 5 answers).
Note: The optimal image size is 300 pixels wide × 300 pixels high.

Specify the item score (required field).
