In the Approval Flows screen, you can manage approvals, including details such as the approval title, unit, approval levels, creator, main supervisor, authorized reviewers, and current status. You can also add new approval flows, customize displayed columns, filter, review your approvals, and export data.
To use this screen effectively, follow these steps:
- Click the Flows menu to view current approval flows.
- Select Review Approvals to see approvals waiting for your action.
- Select My Approvals to manage approval tasks assigned to you.
- Click + Add New Flow to create and save a new approval workflow.
- Use Customize Columns to choose which information is displayed in the approval list.
- Click on rows to set the number of entries displayed per page.
- Choose Export to download approval data.
The Approvals section provides a flexible mechanism to create and track approval flows within the Classera system. It allows system administrators to define who can create, review, or approve actions across different units, such as the Question Bank or Course Content.

User Roles:
System Administrator:
- Responsible for setting up and managing approval paths within the Learning Management System.
- Tasks include creating new flows, assigning users and roles at each level (creator, reviewer, final approver), editing or disabling existing flows, and tracking all related operations.
- Ensures effective governance of academic and administrative processes on the platform.
Creator (Maker):
- Submits content or requests (e.g., questions or educational materials) for approval and tracks the approval status.
- Can withdraw a request before final approval and receives notifications of any status changes.
Reviewer:
- Reviews requests assigned to them and decides to approve or reject.
- Required to add comments when rejecting, and the creator is notified of the action.
- May be part of multiple review levels.
Final Approver:
- Performs the final review at the last stage of the flow.
- Has authority to approve publication at the highest level (e.g., group level) or reject with remarks, completing the approval process.
